LESS/007 Graham Hatke’s “In Full Moonlight”

Go to Beatport.com Get These Tracks Add This Player

Great news, our newest release from Baltimore based dj/producer, Graham Hatke, is available now on Beatport, iTunes, and Juno.

Graham’s primarily hardware setup, an Akai MPC, a Nord Lead and drum machines older than he is, lend his music a distinct throwback vibe. While not one to stay in the past his tracks are a unique take on the Motor City’s legacy of diverse techno and house mixed with percussive elements that can only come from the streets of Baltimore.

Here’s what the people have to say:

“Listening to Miles Away, absolutely gorgeous stuff.” – Joe Nice, U.S. Dubstep Ambassador

“Really Nice… will be playing on my Rinse FM show here in London.” – Alexander Nutt (Rinse FM, AYK, Eglo Records)

“Wow really lush sound with great space…perfect for after hrs, home listening or car.” – Andrew Grant (Barraca, Circoloco)

“The Graham release is a tech-house burner.  Will definitely be playing this out!” – Drew Pompa (Blank Artists Co-Owner)

Graham also took MOLCAST duties this month with a special mix containing tracks from his new release alongside some house and future-funk classics.

Hexagon – ASCAP + NonProfit = ?

DJ Nights @ The Hexagon Kick The Proverbial Bag Bucket | Photo by Brander

A press release sent from the Hexagon’s Facebook page announced that they will be doing away with supporting ASCAP/BMI/SEASAC licensed music and they are also one step closer to being a legit non-profit organization.

Thus the inevitable has finally occurred, DJ nights at the Hexagon are DOA. Some of you may say ‘big fucking deal’ others will shed a tear, either way another chapter has closed in Baltimore dance music. That being said still go out and support this venue, they are trying hard to shed light on local artists and performers. They did what was right for them and for the community. ASCAP got another FUCK YOU from a small business willing to stand up to their racketeering ways.
